As Director of Ticket Sales for Prodigal Sports, Sam’s responsibilities center on management of the day-to-day activity and training of sales staff for the Oklahoma City Barons, Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo (RNCFR), All-College Basketball Tournament, and other special events.
Sam joins Prodigal having spending seven years in the Dallas Stars organization in the roles of Manager of Client Relations and Director of Sales and Service.  For five consecutive seasons with the Stars, Sam was #1 in the company in renewal percentage and was in the Top 5 in company sales revenue.  As his responsibilities increased, he implemented the team’s first ever Renewal Rewards program, re-scaled the American Airlines Center to the pricing structure still being used today and assisted in the creation of the team’s first Customer Service Representative positions.
Between his roles of Manager of Client Relations and Director of Sales and Services with the Stars, Sam served as Vice President of Sales and Service for the Central Hockey League’s Allen Americans. In that position with Allen, he increased group sales by 25% and increased the FSE count by 45%, hired a team of six sales executives, a Director of Box Office operation and finalized the scaling of the Allen Event Center for the Texas Stampede Rodeo.

Prior to his career in professional sports, Sam spent over ten years as Sales Manager for a Dallas based collectibles distribution company where he managed the company’s sales staff, marketing, as well as all the company’s international clients.  The company sales leader for seven straight years, Bays eclipsed the $25 million mark in sales in 2000, accounting for 45% of the company’s revenue.  While managing a team of 10 sales executives, Sam managed accounts in large domestic chain stores like Electronics Boutique, Long’s Drug Stores and Target and negotiated export contracts with FedEx and UPS as well as customs paperwork for all international incoming and outgoing company shipments.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys playing ice hockey, golf, and spending time with his two children, Trevor and Morgan.
