Cassie Gage is a native of Dunn, North Carolina, and graduated from Mississippi State University with degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations. She stayed at her alma mater after graduation as an assistant director in the athletic media relations office. In that capacity, she oversaw the communications efforts of the women’s basketball, women's soccer and softball programs, coordinated the student assistant volunteer program and oversaw media relations' football gameday operations.

Cassie was named an assistant athletics communications director at the University of Oklahoma in 2008 and worked with the volleyball, softball and track and field teams in four years with the Sooners. She joined the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department in 2012 as a public relations specialist. She handled internal and industry communication and also worked with media at the state, regional, national and international level to promote travel to the state of Oklahoma.

Cassie has served as the official statistican for the World Cup of Softball, the NCAA Division I Women's College World Series, the men’s Border Battle slowpitch game, various other intercollegiate softball tournaments throughout the United States and Mid American Christian University's volleyball program. She was a member of the media coordination committee for the 2013 Southeastern Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament and has worked numerous other national events, including the men’s and women’s NCAA Division I Basketball Final Four and NCAA Division I Men's College World Series.

Cassie is a member of the Junior League of Norman and a graduate of the Oklahoma Arts Council's Leadership Arts program.
