The Edmonton Oilers have assigned goaltender Tyler Bunz to the Oklahoma City Barons from the ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors, Oklahoma City General Manager Bill Scott announced today.

Bunz has played 106 minutes in Bakersfield this year and has an 0-1-0-1 record with a 3.41 goals against average and 0.893 save percentage. Bunz has made 50 saves for the Condors, while allowing six goals. He was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round (121st overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Oklahoma City returns home this weekend with a pair of games against the Chicago Wolves. Puck drop both nights is 7 p.m. CT at the Cox Convention Center. Friday night is Barons Night with $2 beers and $1 hot dogs. Saturday night is Drive Away Every Saturday where one fan will drive away in a brand-new vehicle.
