BARONS RELEASE 7 PLAYERS FROM TRAINING CAMP

The Oklahoma City Barons announced the release of seven players from training camp, General Manager Bill Scott announced today.

Players released were forwards Ryan Barlock, Alex Lavoie, Preston Shupe, Kale Kerbashian and defensemen Wes Cunningham, Andrew Himelson and Matt Krug. Oklahoma City’s current training camp stands at 27 and can be viewed here.

The Barons play a pair of preseason games on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. CT and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. CT in Texas. We’ll have full game coverage on OKCBarons.com. Both games can be heard on 96.1 KXY. Jim Byers will call the action for both games. Fans can also listen online by clicking here.

Although the Barons home opener is October 4, hockey season begins in Oklahoma City when the Edmonton Oilers host the Dallas Stars in the NHL Showcase presented by Mercy on Friday, September 27 at the Cox Convention Center at 7 p.m.
