BARONS RETURN RIMMER TO QUAD CITY ON LOAN
By Cassie Gage,
The Oklahoma City Barons have returned goaltender Ty Rimmer on loan to the CHL’s Quad City Mallards, Barons General Manager Bill Scott announced today.
Rimmer saw action in three games for the Barons with a 1-0-1-0 record and a 2.66 goals against average. Rimmer made 93 saves on 100 shots for a .930 save percentage in 158 minutes played.
December 20 is Barons Night with $2 draft beer and $1 hot dogs from 6-8 p.m. Following the game, fans can come to the ice to shoot a puck from center ice into an empty net. Those who are successful will receive a coupon from the Barons and Schwab Meats for a holiday ham.
December 21 is the annual Teddy Bear Toss Night. The Barons are looking for new and gently used stuffed animals for donation to EMSA. When the Barons score their first goal against the Texas Stars on December 21, the fans will be asked to throw their stuffed animals toward the ice. The stuffed animals will be collected and donated to EMSA for use in breaking the ice with children who have been involved in a traumatic incident.
Both games will feature your opportunity to own a festive piece of holiday wear decorated by the Barons players. For the third straight season, Barons players will decorate small Christmas trees in a manner that is appealing to them. Some of the more interesting designs from seasons past have included an iPod and iTunes gift cards, trees dedicated to fishing and to golf. The decorated trees will be on display on the upper concourse near The Edge Team Store where fans can place bids on the trees. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Barons Buddies Program. click here to read more
The game on December 21 is also a Drive Away Every Saturday game. One lucky fan will win a 2013 Honda CR-Z. All you have to do is attend the game.
