PRESS RELEASES

ADDITIONAL SPECIAL OLYMPICS JERSEYS AVAILABLE FOR BIDS

By Josh Evans, OKC Barons on 02/05/2013

The Oklahoma City Barons wore one-of-a-kind jerseys for their game February 1 against the Charlotte Checkers. The majority of the jerseys were available for bids in a live auction following the game. Barons fans didn’t disappoint, raising $26,850 for Special Olympics Oklahoma.

Fans now have the opportunity to own a piece of Barons history, all while contributing to a great cause. In preparation for the game on February 1, these one-of-a-kind Barons jerseys were also made for Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Taylor Hall, Justin Schultz and Teemu Hartikainen. Each with the number they wore while playing for the Barons.

These jerseys are now available for bids in a special auction on eBay. The auction began February 4 and concludes February 14. Each jersey will be signed and come with a letter of authenticity. Funds from this auction will benefit Special Olympics Oklahoma.
