Fans will notice a new Barons family partner featured on the ice resurfacing machine when the Barons take on the Rockford IceHogs this Friday at the Cox Convention Center.

Enogex, an OGE Energy Corp. company in the midstream natural gas business, has joined the Barons as part of the company’s 25th Anniversary celebration and headquarters relocation to downtown OKC this spring.  The ice resurfacing machine features the Enogex company logo, along with a call to recruit new employees.

Enogex currently owns and operates more than 8,000 miles of pipe, eight processing plants and 24 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity in Oklahoma and Texas. By March 15 it will have moved more than 400 of its employees to the Leadership Square building in the downtown area.

“Thanks to Enogex for joining our prestigious group of corporate partners,” said CEO of Prodigal LLC Bob Funk Jr. “Their message of “Energy on the Move” is a perfect fit for one of the ice resurfacing machines. We are proud to partner with such solid corporate citizens of the state of Oklahoma.”

“We are excited to be relocating our headquarters downtown,” said Enogex President Keith Mitchell.  “Not only will we be able to walk to the Barons games, but we will use this dynamic location to support our next 25 years of great growth for our customers, our employees, and our shareholders.  We want fans to know Enogex is a great place to work.”

Originally invented in 1949 by Frank J. Zamboni, ice resurfacing machines are an iconic symbol of hockey games; the ice resurfacing machine provides a fresh, smooth sheet of ice for hockey games across the globe.
