OILERS ASSIGN RODNEY TO OKLAHOMA CITY

The Edmonton Oilers re-assigned defenseman Bryan Rodney to the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.

Rodney, a 6-0, 204-pounder from London, Ontario appeared in one game for the Oilers on April 2.  He has played 21 games with the Barons since being acquired from the Anaheim Ducks organization in mid-February for Ryan O'Marra.  In those 21 games with the Barons, he has nine points (1-8-9).

The Barons schedule includes home games Friday and Saturday. Friday, the Barons tangle with the Peoria Rivermen, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. Saturday, the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, visit Oklahoma City.  All three games start at 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center.  Both games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
