OILERS ASSIGN ANTON LANDER TO OKLAHOMA CITY

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, assigned center Anton Lander to Oklahoma City.

Lander, a 6-0, 194-pounder from Sundsvall, Sweden was recalled by the Oilers January 31.  He appeared in four games with Edmonton before being sidelined with a broken foot.  With Oklahoma City this season he has played in 39 games and scored 10 points (3-7-10). Over two seasons with the Barons, he has recorded 15 points (4-11-15) in 53 games.

The Oilers 2nd round draft choice (40th overall) in the 2009 Entry Draft has played 60 games with the Oilers, recording seven points (2-5-7). Prior to joining the Oilers, Lander played four seasons with Timra in the Swedish Elite League, scoring 55 points (23-32-55) in 177 games.

Oklahoma City returns to action tomorrow night on the road against the San Antonio Rampage at 7 p.m.  The game can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
