OILERS ASSIGN 11 PLAYERS TO OKLAHOMA CITY

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons assigned 11 players to Oklahoma City, general manager Steve Tambellini announced today.

Included are six players who finished the 10-11 season with the Barons.  They include forwards Chris VandeVelde, Tanner House, Philippe Cornet, Milan Kytnar and Curtis Hamilton as well as defenseman Alex Plante..  Also assigned were defensemen Ryan Lowery and Kirill Tulupov, forwards Tyler Pitlick and Ryan Martindale and goaltender Olivier Roy.

The Barons continue training camp this week at the Cox Convention Center.  Camp sessions begin at 10 a.m. daily and are free and open to the public.

Oklahoma City will skate in preseason action this Friday at the Cox Convention Center against the Houston Aeros at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $10 and all seating for the preseason game are general admission.  Barons Season Seat Holders have the ticket included in their Season Ticket books.
