BARONS SIGN JORDAN HENRY TO A PTO

The Oklahoma City Barons signed defenseman Jordan Henry to a PTO, General Manager Bill Scott announced today.
Henry, a 6-3, 195-pounder from High River, Alberta is entering his sixth season as a pro. He began this season skating in Sweden with Sodertalje where he scored two points (1-1-2) in seven games. He returned to North America and played two games with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL where he recorded two assists in two games.
Last season, he played 68 games with the Abbotsford Heat and Chicago Wolves, scoring 11 points (2-9-11) while serving 97 penalty minutes. During his career, he has played in 262 games in the American Hockey League with Abbotsford, Chicago and Rochester. In all, he has skated in 320 games as a pro, scoring 74 points (25-49-74) and serving 454 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons in the Western Hockey League with Moose Jaw and Red Deer. Over 270 games, he scored 73 points (12-61-73) while serving 536 penalty minutes. His best season was his final with Red Deer when he scored 32 points (7-25-32) and served 162 penalty minutes in 72 games.
Henry will join the Barons en route to their trip to Abbotsford this weekend. Oklahoma City plays a two-game set against Abbotsford this weekend. Faceoff for both games is 9 p.m. (ct).
