OILERS RECALL BRYAN RODNEY
By Josh Evans, OKC BaronsThe Edmonton Oilers recalled defenseman Bryan Rodney on an emergency basis from the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.
Rodney, a 6-0, 204-pounder from London, Ontario has played 21 games with the Barons since being acquired from the Anaheim Ducks organization in mid-February for Ryan O'Marra. In those 21 games with the Barons, he has nine points (1-8-9).
He has appeared in 33 NHL games, all with the Carolina Hurricanes. In those 33 games, he has 13 points (1-12-13).
The Barons return home to take on the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, Tuesday. The weekend concludes with home games Friday and Saturday. Friday, the Barons tangle with the Peoria Rivermen, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. Saturday, the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, visit Oklahoma City. All three games start at 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. All three games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
