OILERS RECALL DEFENSEMAN TAYLOR FEDUN

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.
Fedun, a 6-0, 190-pounder from Edmonton has appeared in 35 games with the Barons this season, scoring nine points (2-7-9). Fedun participated in the Oilers training camp, but suffered a season-ending injury late in the Oilers preseason in 2012. Prior to signing with the Oilers, Fedun played four seasons at Princeton University, serving as team captain in his final season with the Tigers. In 127 games over four seasons with Princeton, he scored 68 points (20-48-68).
Edmonton first on-ice session is today, with the regular season opener Sunday, January 20 on the road against the Vancouver Canucks.
The Barons are in the midst of a five-game homestand. Next weekend the Barons skate in back-to-back games against the San Antonio Rampage. Faceoff for both games next weekend is 7 p.m. The games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
