OILERS RECALL PETRY FROM OKLAHOMA CITY

The Edmonton Oilers recalled defenseman Jeff Petry from the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers general manager Steve Tambellini announced today.

Petry, a 6-3, 200-pounder from Farmington Hills, Mich. was assigned to Oklahoma City October 19 and played in two games with the Barons, registering one assist.

The Oilers 2nd round draft choice (45th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft began the season with the Oilers and has appeared in three games with the big club.  In 38 NHL games, Petry has scored five points (1-4-5).

Petry is the first Barons player recalled by the Oilers this season.

The Barons host the Charlotte Checkers tonight at the Cox Convention Center.  Faceoff is 7 p.m.  Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Cox Convention Center box office.
