BARONS TEDDY BEAR TOSS PRESENTED BY CHESAPEAKE ENERGY CORPORATION IS SET FOR DECEMBER 15

By Josh Evans, OKC Barons

The Oklahoma City Barons are looking for new and gently used stuffed animals for donation to EMSA at the team’s Teddy Bear Toss at the team’s game on December 15 against the San Antonio Rampage.

The Barons Teddy Bear Toss is presented by Chesapeake Energy Corporation.

Teddy Bear Toss is one part of the Barons night geared toward holiday fun. The game will feature more than 500 children from local elementary school choirs singing holiday carols during the intermissions as part of the Barons second annual Sing for Santa event. That night is also Barons Scarf Night. The first 2,000 fans through the doors will receive a Barons scarf.

Faceoff for the game December 15 is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. A variety of ticket packages are available to meet every individual or group need. Packages ranging from 7-game and 11-game packs to Full Season Seats are available. Call the Barons’ front office at 405-232-4625 for information on group outings, Season Seats and other ticket packages.

Fans are asked to bring new or gently loved stuffed animals to the game. When the Barons score their first goal against the Rampage, the fans will be asked to throw their stuffed animals toward the ice. If fans forget to bring a stuffed animal to the game, the Barons have you covered. For a donation of $1 or more, fans can earn a bear(s) to throw on the ice. Funds generated are being donated to EMSA. The stuffed animals will be collected and donated to EMSA for use in breaking the ice with children who have been involved in a traumatic incident.
