BARONS RELEASE MARTENS FROM PTO

The Oklahoma City Barons released defenseman Andrew Martens from his PTO, Barons General Manager Bill Scott announced today.

Martens appeared in 12 games with the Barons, registering one assist and 18 shots on goal.  He will return to the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League.  With Wichita, he has appeared in 27 games and scored 22 points (8-14-22).

The Barons are on the home for two games this weekend.  Friday, the Barons host the Houston Aeros, AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.  Saturday, the Barons host the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars.  Faceoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center.  Both games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
