FAQ ABOUT EVENTS SURROUNDING THE SEASON OPENER

As the 2011-12 Barons Hockey season begins, fans may notice a few new amenities within the Cox Convention Center. The Barons have designed this FAQ to make our most loyal fans aware of the enhancements within the building.
I’m a Season Seat Holder. Do I still get to enter early and have our own entrance?
Yes. Season Seat Holders may enter the building 15 minutes prior to the doors opening to the general public. Doors open one (1) hour prior to faceoff. Games played Monday – Saturday begin at 7 p.m. Sunday games begin at 4 p.m.
Where is the Season Seat Holder Lounge?
The Season Seat Holder Lounge is now in the southeast corner of the building in the Blue Line Club.
What is the Blue Line Club?
The Blue Line Club is an exclusive club only for Season Seat Holders. At the Blue Line Club, Season Seat Holders may enjoy a unique dining environment where they may order from a menu or eat the buffet. The buffet will feature new items on a rotation for each Barons home game. The Barons will work with the staff of the Cox Convention Center to notify our fans which items will be offered on the buffet. That information will be made available on the Barons website. Cost of the buffet is expected to be around $25 and will be available 90 minutes prior to faceoff through the first intermission. The Blue Line Club will close one hour following the conclusion of the game.
How do we access the Blue Line Club before the game?
Access to the Blue Line Club is available only from the ground level in the Southeast corner of the Cox Convention Center.
Can we enter the building to sit in our seats from the Blue Line Club?
To enter the seating area at the Cox Convention Center, fans at the Blue Line Club will have to leave the Club and utilize one of the five entrances to the Cox Convention Center. The closest entrances are on the main floor at the Southeast corner.
How do we access the Blue Line Club during the game?
Access to the Blue Line Club is available only from the ground level in the Southeast corner of the Cox Convention Center. Once fans are inside the building, they will need to use the elevators in the Southeast corner of the building. Upon exiting the building in the Southeast corner, fans will be given a re-entry ticket. Go down to the 1st floor and enter the Blue Line Club.
If we visit the Blue Line Club during the game, how do we get back to our seats?
From the Blue Line Club, fans can re-enter the Cox Convention Center to get back to their seats using any of the five entrances to the building.
There is a lot going on October 15. Where should we park?
October 15 will be a busy day in downtown Oklahoma City, beginning Saturday morning. Join the Barons at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at the Bricktown Ballpark. In addition to the Race for the Cure and the Barons home opener against Texas, there is a Taylor Swift concert at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, the re-dedication of the Myriad Botanical Gardens and a festival in the new Oklahoma City film district. Season Seat Holders who purchased parking for under the Cox Convention Center or at the Santa Fe Garage will be guaranteed a spot. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.
Are there still tickets available for $10?
Yes. The Barons offer a limited number of $10 tickets that go on sale two (2) hours prior to faceoff at the Cox Convention Center Box Office. This season, the Barons are offering a limited number of advanced sale $10 tickets.
We heard there is a new bar location in the South end of the Cox Convention Center. Who has access to that bar?
There is a new bar location in the South end of the Cox Convention Center that offers Barons hockey fans access to mixed drinks and a menu limited to the type of food that can be served at the concession stands. There will be staff members who can get food for Barons fans. The bar is 24-feet long and is surrounded by an area with seating for 40 fans as well as tall boy tables for customers to stand and enjoy their drinks/food. Barons Season Seat Holders will have an area dedicated exclusively to them within the confines of the bar.
What is that stage for at the south end of the building above Section 314?
That stage will be utilized by the Barons Game Operations crew for added entertainment options during the games. The Derrick the Mountain Lion may use it for antics before, during and after the game. Bands may also be asked to play on the stage.
Will there be new food options at the Barons games this season?
Yes. In addition to the standard options, the staff of the Cox Convention Center will have several new options for Barons fans to try. Those items include assorted wraps and salad options as well as fresh-made hamburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and french fries.
Is there still a merchandise discount and other amenities for Season Seat Holders?
Yes. Those ancillary items such as the merchandise card and extra perks will be made available. The merchandise discount will be utilized by presenting a "Copper Card". The "Copper Cards" were mailed to Season Seat Holders. Season Seat Holders will carry that with them to take advantage of the discount at anytime during the season.
Amenities such as special coupons to bring friends to the game will be made available electronically for easier distribution to friends, family, etc.
I've ordered parking passes. When will they be available for pickup?
The parking passes that were ordered will be mailed to the Season Seat Holders that purchased them so that they may be there in enough time for the first home game October 15.
Will there be guest passes for the Blue Line Club?
Yes. The guest passes for the Blue Line Club will be coincide with the night(s) that the discounted coupons are made available for family/friends to use during the season.
Will we still be able to utilize any unused Season Seats for future games?
Yes. Season Seat Holders may still exchange unused Season Seats for future home games. Unused season tickets can be exchanged for all future Barons home games. To exchange unused tickets call the Barons office (48 hours notice) and tickets will be left at will call. Unused tickets can also be exchanged on game day beginning 2 hours prior to game at the SE box office located inside the Cox Convention Center. Tickets are subject to availability.
Will there be postgame autograph sessions like last season?
Yes. The Barons will schedule regular postgame autograph sessions with the players and Ice Girls. The dates of the autograph sessions will be posted on the Barons website.
Will there be postgame skates after each Sunday game?
Yes. The postgame skates after the Barons Sunday games were a huge hit and we will do them again this season. Following each Sunday game, members of the Barons team will skate for a maximum of 45 minutes with the fans. Skates are provided by the Barons or you may bring your own. To sign up, visit the Barons Fan Relations table on the night of the game.
Will there be other opportunities to interact with the players?
Yes. In addition to the postgame skates after the Sunday games and the postgame autograph sessions, the Barons are working on other opportunities to visit with the players. The Barons will notify the fans of upcoming events via email, the website and social media outlets.
