OILERS REASSIGN LANDER TO OKLAHOMA CITY

The Edmonton Oilers have assigned forward Anton Lander to the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Craig MacTavish announced today. Lander, who was recalled by Edmonton on Dec. 4, has played in 12 games with the Oilers this season.

Lander was named Oklahoma City’s team captain earlier this year. He has 15 points (9-6-15) in 18 games played with the Barons and a plus-three rating. In 79 career games in Oklahoma City, Lander has 40 points with 19 goals and 21 assists.

Oklahoma City begins a home and home series with the San Antonio Rampage tonight in San Antonio at 7 p.m. The teams return to Oklahoma City tomorrow night for the finale of the weekend set at 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. It’s Country Night with the Barons. Fans are encouraged to wear their finest cowboy boots and hats to the game.  The first 2,000 fans through the doors receive a foam cowboy hat..
