OILERS ASSIGN JOHAN MOTIN TO TIMRA IN SWEDISH ELITE LEAGUE

The Edmonton Oilers assigned defenseman Johan Motin to the Timra Red Eagles in the Swedish Elite League, Barons General Manager Bill Scott announced today.

Motin, a 6-2, 202-pounder from Kariskoga, Sweden was a 4th round draft choice (103rd overall) of the Oilers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.  He has played parts of two seasons with Oklahoma City, skating in 44 games and registering five points (1-4-5).  He has appeared in one NHL game with Edmonton during the 09-10 season.

The Barons skate Wednesday on the road against the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m.  The team returns to Oklahoma City to skate in game this Friday and Saturday with the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.  Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center.  Tickets start as low as $10 and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Cox Convention Center box office.
