 The Edmonton Oilers have recalled Oklahoma City Barons center Chris VandeVelde, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.

VandeVelde has appeared in 17 NHL games, all for Edmonton, scoring one goal and adding two assists.

VandeVelde has played 173 games for the Oklahoma City Barons, over the past three seasons, scoring 21 goals and adding 28 assists.

This season, VandeVelde has played in 38 games for OKC, with two goals and eight assists.

Oklahoma City hosts the Grand Rapids Griffins tonight at 7 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. $2 beer and $1 hot dogs are available from 6-8 pm. Visit or call 405-232-GOAL for tickets.
