ABNEY AND ZAHN HEADED BACK TO OKC; PELSS ASSIGNED TO STOCKTON

The Oklahoma City Barons were involved in player transactions with their ECHL affiliate in Stockton, Calif. The Edmonton Oilers assigned forward Kristians Pelss to Stockton. The Barons recalled defenseman Teigan Zahn and the Oilers re-assigned forward Cameron Abney to Oklahoma City.
Pelss, a 5-11, 191-pounder from Preili, Latvia has played two games with Oklahoma City this season, registering two assists. The Oilers 7th round choice (181st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft has played the last two seasons with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League.
Zahn attended training camp with the Barons before being assigned to Stockton on October 8. With Stockton, the 6-2, 220-pounder from Bethune, Sask. has recorded five points (2-3-5) and served 13 penalty minutes.
Oklahoma City closes out a season-long seven-game homestand this Friday and Saturday with home games against the Houston Aeros. Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m. The weekend concludes Sunday in San Antonio when the Barons take on the Rampage at 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, the Barons and their fans will help determine the outcome of the upcoming Presidential election. The Barons have ordered Presidential Candidate bobbleheads. The team has 1,500 Barack Obama bobbleheads holding a hockey stick left handed and 1,500 Mitt Romney bobbleheads holding a hockey stick right handed. Barons fans planning on voting for Obama area asked to go in the main entrance to the left, while fans planning on voting for Romney are asked to go in the main entrance to the right.
