The Edmonton Oilers recalled defenseman Colten Teubert from the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today.

Teubert, a 6-4, 205-pounder from White Rock, B.C. has played 43 games with the Barons this season, scoring 10 points (2-8-10).  Originally a first round draft choice of the Los Angeles Kings (13th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Teubert has played in 20 games with the Oilers, registering one point and serving 18 penalty minutes.  This is Teubert’s third call up of the season.

The Barons can clinch the Western Division regular season title tonight by earning a single point against the Grand Rapids Griffins, AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings, or any loss by the San Antonio Rampage.  Faceoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. The game can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
