ROY ASSIGNED TO STOCKTON

The Edmonton Oilers assigned goaltender Olivier Roy to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL, Barons General Manager Bill Scott announced today.

Roy, a 6-0, 180-pounder from Amqui, Quebec has played in three games with the Barons this season, posting a 1-0-0 record, 2.34 goals against average and .937 saves percentage.  That included his first start as a member of the Barons, a 36-save win over the Rockford IceHogs on March 13.

The Oilers 5th round pick (133rd overall) returns to Stockton where he has a 12-15-5 record, a 2.44 goals against average, .927 save percentage and three shutouts.  His save percentage is good for third in the ECHL. 
 

Oklahoma City skates in two games this weekend, both on the road.  Tonight, they take on the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars at 7 p.m.  Tomorrow, the take on the Houston Aeros at 5 p.m.  Both games can be heard on the Barons flagship station, 96.1 KXY.
