FIVE THINGS TO KNOW: TRAINING CAMP

Looking forward to the upcoming Oklahoma City Barons training camp? Here are the five things you need to know:

What are the dates of the training camp?
The Barons camp runs Sunday, Sept. 22 through Thursday, Oct 3. Players will undergo medical testing on Sunday and hit the ice on Monday morning. Click here for a full schedule.

Is training camp open to the public?

Yes, the on-ice sessions are open to the public. Camp starts at 10 a.m. daily. Parking is available at the Cox Convention Center.

Who are those guys?
There are several new faces to get to know at this year’s training camp. Among the new players in camp are: Matt Ford, Derek Nesbitt, Austin Fyten and Kale Kessy. Players that played with the Barons last season that are in camp include Brandon Davidson, C.J. Stretch, Erick Lizon and Joey Leach.


What about a roster?
The roster will be fluid throughout camp. Please click here for the most up to date training camp roster.

When are the preseason games?
The Barons play a pair of preseason games on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. CT and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. CT in Texas. We’ll have full game coverage on OKCBarons.com. Both games can be heard on 96.1 KXY. Jim Byers will call the action for both games. Fans can also listen online by clicking here.
