TONIGHT: The Barons wrap up their longest trip of the season at Peoria with the sixth and final game of the swing. OKC is 1-3-0-1 so far on the trip, which has been divided into two segments. This is the third of 4 games between the Barons and Rivermen and the second and final meeting at Carver Arena. The teams have split the first 2 games, with the home team winning each. This portion of the trip began on Friday with a 4-2 Rivermen won over the Barons. OKC leads the Western Conference with 76 points. Peoria is third in the Midwest Division with 65 points.

OFF THE TOP: The Barons are 5-6-0-1 in their last 12 games. OKC leads the Western Conference in points (76), which is the third-most in the league behind Norfolk (81) and St. John’s (77). OKC’s point percentage (.655) is third behind Norfolk and St. John’s, which share a .675 mark. The Barons have a positive goal differential in each period and are +34 overall, the second-best mark in the AHL behind Norfolk’s +55. The Barons are 20-8-0-2 on the road, a .700 point percentage that ranks third in the AHL.

DEFENSIVELY: The Barons have allowed the league’s fewest goals (133) and average the fewest allowed per game at 2.29. The Barons have allowed 20 goals in their past 5 games (all on the current trip) while going 1-3-0-1. They had allowed 19 goals in the 12 games leading into the current stretch.

NET GAINS: Yann Danis, recalled on an emergency basis by the Oilers on Feb. 20 and returned on Thursday, owns the best goals-against average in the AHL at 2.04. Danis is fourth in wins (21), tied for second in shutouts (5) and tied for fourth in save percentage (.925). David LeNeveu dropped to fourth in the AHL in goals-against average at 2.25 after allowing 3 goals in slightly more than one period in Sunday’s 4-1 loss at Chicago. Olivier Roy re-joined the Barons from Stockton on Sunday when Danis did not dress because of an injury and Roy made his second straight Barons relief appearance. He also followed LeNeveu Feb. 24.

MARCH ON: Tonight is OKC’s fourth of 15 games in March, making it the team’s busiest month. Previously, the Barons’ busiest months were November, December and January with 12 games each. OKC is 3-0-0-1 in Wednesday games and 10-1-1-1 combined in games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

CHARTING: Philippe Cornet is tied for 12th in the AHL in goals (22) and part of a group that includes teammate Ryan Keller tied for second in game-winners (6). Cornet is second in shooting percentage at 23.2, with 22 goals on 95 shots. Keller is tied for seventh in plus-minus (+19). Hunter Tremblay, who has missed the past 7 games with an injury, is tied for second in shorthanded goals (4).

ODDS AND ENDS: The Barons’ current 3-game road winless streak (0-2-0-1) is their longest road drought of the season...on only one occasion has OKC dropped consecutive road games in regulation, Jan. 6-8 at Toronto and Hamilton...overall, the Barons’ longest spell without a victory this season is 4 games from Jan. 6-14, when they went 0-3-1-0...Saturday’s shootout defeat at Grand Rapids dropped the Barons to 4-4 in that category. Only 1 of OKC’s 8 shootouts has lasted the prescribed 5 rounds...three of the tiebreakers, including Saturday’s, have needed only 4 rounds for a winner to be decided...the other 4 have gone longer, with a pair lasting 6 rounds in addition to 7- and 9-rounders...fifteen times this season the Barons have had a 2-goal game by an individual, but they have yet to record a hat trick.
