ALUMNI REPORT: PITLICK PLAYS IN FIRST NHL GAME

Tyler Pitlick played in his first NHL game on Tuesday night with the Edmonton Oilers in a 4-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens. Pitlick was recalled by the Oilers from the Oklahoma City Barons on Monday.

The Minneapolis, Minn., native played 11:58 minutes for the Oilers, registering 2 shots on goal and 3 hits on the night. He also was 1-for-1 in the face off circle.

Pitlick scored 40 points (11-29-40) in 113 games with the Barons, including 3 points (1-2-3) in 7 games this season.

The Barons will play the Texas Stars in Austin on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The Oilers will return home from their a six-game road trip to face the Washington Capitals on Thursday.
