Neither team scored in the second but the Rampage increased their shots lead to five with a 20-15 margin at the end of the frame. Despite closing the shots lead in the third period to a 24-22 margin in favor of San Antonio and having several chances throughout the game, the Barons were unable to come up with a goal as the Rampage won 1-0.

Yann Danis earned the game's third star honors after turning away 23 shots on the afternoon.
