Edmonton Oilers faced the Minnesota Wild Tuesday, Feb. 22 with the help of several Oklahoma City Barons players on call up. The game resulted in a 4-1 loss for the Oilers, ending their winning streak.


After a scoreless first period, the Wild managed a goal. Later in the period, Barons player Linus Omark assisted Kurtis Foster for the Oilers’ only goal, tying the game 1-1 at the end of the second. Omark ended the night as a -1 with 10:57 minutes of ice time.


Only about five minutes into the second, Barons player Taylor Chorney collided with Wild player Cal Clutterbuck, sending Chorney to the locker room with a right knee injury that would keep him from the rest of the game. Chorney skated 6:17 while Liam Reddox skated in nearly nine minutes of play with two shots on goal.


The Oilers will play the Colorado Avalanche tomorrow, Feb. 23 at 8:30 pm. (CT).
