Funk Reflects on legal scuffle over hockey team

Oklahoma City – A legal conflict developing over hockey in Wichita looks all too familiar to Bob Funk Jr. in Oklahoma City.

The new owners of the Wichita Thunder hockey team, a double-A team in the Central Hockey League, are suing its former owners with allegations that vital financial information on the team had been withheld.  The three sibling members of Steven Brothers Sports Management LLC say the data erased from computers would have revealed that the Wichita Thunder lost more money than reported.

Defendants in the lawsuit, which was filed in Sedgwick County District Court in Kansas, include Tulsa Oilers team owner Jeffrey Lund and WIHO LLC of Illinois, headed by Chicago businessman Horn Chen.  Lund called the lawsuit frivolous and without merit.
