OKC is 3-2-1-0 against the Checkers, winning both previous matchups in Charlotte Nov. 24-25 by 4-2 and 7-2 scores. This is the 7th of 8 meetings in the season series, which concludes tomorrow. This is the first game the Barons have played outside Oklahoma or Texas since Jan. 26 at Rockford, a 4-3 win. Among OKC’s previous 10 games, 6 were at home 4 on the road (3 at Cedar Park and 1 in Houston). This is middle of a 3-in-3 set for the Barons. OKC is 2-0-1-1 in the middle leg of a 3-in-3 this season. The Barons are No. 1 in the AHL on the power play at 22.6 percent. STRETCH TIME: C.J. Stretch signed a PTO with the Barons on Tuesday and provided the eventual game-winning goal in the third period of that night’s 3-2 win over Texas. It was his first AHL goal in his 24th game in the league, as he appeared in 23 games for Houston last season. Stretch’s 60 ECHL points this season for the Ontario Reign, on 27 goals and 33 assists, were the fourth-most in the league at the time of his promotion. Stretch is the third Baron this season to tally his first career AHL goal in his first league game, joining Taylor Hall (Nov. 2 vs. Houston) and Toni Rajala (Nov. 21 at Texas).

FAST START: Jonathan Cheechoo has 6 multiple point games in 13 contests since being signed to a PTO in January. Cheechoo had 2 goals and an assist last night at Texas in a 5-4 shootout win. Cheechoo is 9th on the Barons in scoring among all players who have appeared for the team this season. Cheechoo has 18 points, on 8 goals and 10 assists, with 13 of those points collected in his 6 home games.
