ALUMNI REPORT - SEPTEMBER 11 PROSPECT TOURNEY

Oklahoma City Barons head coach Todd Nelson is getting a look at players that may be destined for Oklahoma City in the first game of the 2011 Prospects Tournament in Penticton, B.C.  Five players who finished the season with the Barons skated in the Oilers' rookies first game. The Oilers prospects downed the prospects from Vancouver 7-2.

Several players who played or finished the season with the Barons during the 2010-11 campaign skated in the game.  Defensemen Colten Teubert, Martin Marincin and Taylor Fedun joined forwards Philippe Cornet and Curtis Hamilton in theOilers first game of the tournament. 

Cornet and Hamilton each scored goals in the game for the Oilers.  Goaltender Olivier Roy stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced in the win.

Teubert served as the captain of the Oilers team for the game and Cornet was one of the alternate captains.

The Oilers prospects will be off tomorrow.  They return to the ice to play the prospects from Winnipeg Tuesday evening and the prospects from Calgary Wednesday evening.  Both games faceoff at 9:30 p.m. (ct).
