KYTNAR RECALLED; DYLAN YEO SIGNED TO A PTO
By Josh Evans, OKC BaronsThe Oklahoma City Barons recalled forward Milan Kytnar from the Stockton Thunder, their ECHL affiliate. The Barons also signed defenseman Dylan Yeo to a PTO, Barons General Manager Bill Scott announced today.
Kytnar was assigned to Stockton on October 27. With the Thunder, he has skated in nine games, scoring five points (2-3-5) and serving 12 penalty minutes. Kytnar played 78 games with Oklahoma City last season, recoring 29 points (13-16-29) and serving 35 penalty minutes. The 6-0, 190-pounder from Topolcany, Slovakia was the Oilers 5th round choice, (127th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Yeo, a 5-11, 200-pounder from Prince Albert, Sask. has played this season with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. In eight games with Ontario, he has nine points (1-8-9). Each of the last four seasons, he has seen time in the American Hockey League. In 54 games over four seasons with the Manitoba Moose and Hershey Bears, Yeo has recorded 14 points (2-12-14) and served 39 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons in the Western Hockey League with Prince George and Calgary. He appeared in 248 games, scoring 78 points (21-57-78).
Both players will join the Barons in time for their three-game road trip this weekend. Friday night, the Barons take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at 6 p.m. (ct). Saturday, the team travels to Rockford for a date with the IceHogs at 7 p.m. (ct). Sunday, the Barons return to Grand Rapids for a 4 p.m. (ct) game with the Griffins.
