BARONS SIGN C.J. STRETCH TO AN AHL CONTRACT

The Oklahoma City Barons signed centerman C.J. Stretch to a one-year AHL contract, General Manager Bill Scott announced today.
Stretch, a 5-11, 195-pounder from Irvine, Calif. played 17 regular season games with the Barons during the 2012-13 season and scored eight points (5-3-8). He was equally as productive during postseason, scoring nine points (5-4-9) while appearing in all 17 Barons games in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
He played a good portion of the 2012-13 season with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL where he scored 62 points (28-34-62) in 60 games with the Reign. He added five goals in Ontario’s four-game sweep of the Utah Grizzlies in their Kelly Cup playoff run.
In all, he has appeared in 192 games as a pro, recorded 148 points (63-85-148) and served 248 penalty minutes.
Prior to turning pro, Stretch played five full seasons with the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League. In 341 games over four seasons, he scored 248 points (85-163-248) and served 342 penalty minutes.
Oklahoma City opens their 38-game home schedule with a weekend set of games October 4 and 5. In addition to the home opener, the Barons are scheduled to play at home November 12, 15 and 16 and December 20 and 21. The Barons annual Education Field Trip Day will be November 12.
