ALUMNI REPORT: KLEFBOM MAKES NHL DEBUT

By Cassie Gage,

Oscar Klefbom registered his first NHL point in his NHL debut Tuesday evening as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in the shootout.

Klefbom assisted on Jordan Eberle’s game-tying goal at the 15:07 mark of the third period.

Klefbom has nine points in 45 games played this season in Oklahoma City. His first career AHL goal came on Feb. 21 against the Grand Rapids Griffins.  He was previously recalled by the Oilers on Nov. 15 but did not appear in a game.

The Oilers return to action Thursday evening at the St. Louis Blues at 7 p.m. CT.
