The Oklahoma City Barons reduced their training camp roster by two, releasing forward Gary Steffes and goaltender Ian Keserich, General Manager Bill Scott announced today.

Both Steffes and Keserich are slated to play with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League this season. Their training camp opens October 8.

The Barons host the Houston Aeros in two preseason games October 5 and 6 at the Cox Convention Center. Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m.

Admission to both preseason contests is free with a donation of goods or funds to Infant Crisis Services in Oklahoma City. Suggested donation items include sippy cups, baby bottles, new or gently used toys, Good Start formula, diapers, Baby Bath, baby shampoo, baby lotion, pacifiers and coats in sizes from 2T – 6. Fans are asked to bring their donations to the Cox Convention Center Box Office on the evening of the game. Donations will be accepted beginning at 5 p.m. each night. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Infant Crisis Services provides the basic necessities of life to more than 14,000 babies and toddlers in central Oklahoma each year. With the help of the community, Infant Crisis Services is able to supply life-sustaining formula and food as well as diapers and clothing for babies and toddlers in times of crisis.

The Barons home opener is October 19 against the San Antonio Rampage at the Cox Convention Center at 7 p.m. A variety of ticket packages are available to meet every individual or group need. Multiple-game packs, Flex Packs and Full Season Seat options are available. Call the Barons’ front office at 405-232-4625 for information on group outings, Season Seats and other ticket packages.
