BARONS RECALL AUSTIN FYTEN FROM IDAHO

The Oklahoma City Barons recalled forward Austin Fyten from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL, General Manager Bill Scott announced today.
Fyten, a 6-2, 200-pounder from Sundre, Alberta signed with the Barons last summer. With Oklahoma City this season, he’s appeared in 12 games, registering three points. He was assigned to Idaho on November 26. With the Steelheads, Fyten has played in eight games, scoring 10 points (5-5-10).
Fyten will join the Barons in Abbotsford today as they prepare to take on the Heat tonight at 9 p.m. (ct).
Following tonight’s game in Abbotsford, Oklahoma City returns home for their annual New Year’s Eve game. Faceoff against the Texas Stars is 6 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. The New Year’s Eve game is another Barons Winning Weekday. Should the Barons win, everyone in attendance receives a free ticket to the team’s next weekday game.
